What does Terra Teressa mean?

The combination of mythologically rooted Terra (Latin) for Earth and Teressa (Greek) for Late summer (the main harvest season), as these words come from the two most developed ancient cultures in Europe, seem to be perfectly suited for our brand originated within the Europe’s strongest economy up to date – Germany, and as an expression for the very essence of all life – food.

Is Terra Teressa truly a German brand?

The country of origin stated on the labels of our products differs from one product to another. It is due to our strategy aimed at outsourcing only the very best of the fruit processing industry in Europe, to deliver the quality our brand stands for.

How does Terra Teressa choose what products are sold??

We have a rigorous set of criteria that all of our suppliers meet, which covers a range of factors from quality product to the alignment with our brand. Each product is properly tested and tasted before we decide whether it will be included in our portfolio.

Who is the parent company of Terra Teressa?

The parent company is Leelosch GmbH,  German intertnational trading company.

Are Terra Teressa products gluten free?

The Terra Teressa purchase management department is dedicated to only select products without gluten, such as wheat or grains. We process only nut, seed and fruit based oils, thus no gluten enters our production. We are in the process to obtain the certification. We will have soon the certification on hand and will keep you post.

What is the shelf life of Terra Teressa products?

You can find the answer on each product page, under the picture and description, just click on the “Shelf Life” column.

Do Terra Teressa oils have an expiration date? Is the oil usable once it expires?

Remember that our products have a best before date and not a use by date or an expiration date. Because of this distinction, you may safely use it for your salads or baking needs after the best before date has lapsed.
