Ingredient: 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Flavor: fresh and fruity
Max heat (Smoke point): 185
Use: Add to any dish as dressing.

Terra Teressa Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced entirely by mechanical means without the use of any solvents, and under temperatures that will not degrade the oil.

It’s not easy to produce extra virgin olive oil. A producer must use fresh olives in good condition and monitor every step of the process with great care.

Because of olive oil’s high monounsaturated fat content, it can be stored longer than most other oils — as long as it’s stored properly.

When choosing your storage location, remember that heat, air, and light are the enemies of oil. Terra Teressa storage containers for olive oil are made of tinted glass (to keep out light) with a tight cap to keep out unwanted air.

Once bottled, Terra Teressa Extra Virgin Olive Oil has an 18-24 month shelf life.  We recommend using up the oil within 30 to 60 days upon opening.

Exposure must be minimized or eliminated at all times. Extended exposure to light can deteriorate the quantity and quality of the antioxidants found in olive oil.

The optimal storage temperature for olive oil is 60 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Exposure to warmer temperatures causes unpleasant flavors to develop in the olive oil.

Dressing

Rooted by the ancients, it’s still common Greek practice to serve a classic tomato and feta salad dressed in nothing but good extra virgin olive oil, sometimes with a wedge of lemon.

Extra virgin olive oil richly rewards experimentation. Try to incorporate a selection of other ingredients like seeded mustard-honey and enjoy!

Roasting

Whether you’re roasting vegetables, meat or fish, extra virgin olive oil results in a roast with the most. Try slow roasting a punnet of halved cherry tomatoes in a low-heat oven; armed with nothing more than extra virgin olive oil, cracked pepper and salt – you’ll be amazed at their transformation into red, juicy flavour bombs. So many delectable options, so little preparation required…

Frying
It’s a misconception that extra virgin can’t be used for deep-frying, according to Leandro Ravetti, Chief Oil Maker of the award-winning Cobram Estate Extra Virgin Olive Oils.

“The smoke point will be low in a poor quality extra virgin olive oil,” Ravetti says, “but with high quality extra virgin olive oil, there will be no problems – deep-frying is not unusual in Mediterranean. Extremely high temperature cooking, say in a really high temperature wok, is the only example where it’s not ideal.”

Baking

Extra virgin olive oil is an excellent substitute for butter in baking: cakes, pies, puddings, breads and biscuits all emerge from the oven moist and delicious. Extra virgin olive oil is also hands-down healthier.

Marinating

Extra virgin olive oil makes a superb base ingredient in countless marinades for meat and seafood. Flavourful on its own, it helps draw out companion ingredients. The “great all-rounder”, extra virgin olive oil blossoms in any culinary ensemble cast.

What do you think?

Having a dinner last weekend  after a long discussion with my partner before, I’ve realized this is really my new favorite cooking oil., I always used the  Sunflowers but this flaxseed oil is just amazing. It doesn’t have to be refined, it’s just naturally a low-heat oil. You only need a little bit too so it lasts a long time. Cooking is a sorcery and I’m a witch

I’ve really enjoyed cooking with this grapeseed oil. It does have a higher smoking point and the flavor is much clearer compared to other oils, but that’s just my opinion. been a little curious about shipping the glass bottles but good care has been taken of them apparently. Safe package, quick delivery. Hope the oil will last.

Hello, I tried the apple and the prune juice from this brand and I think they are of really good quality. I drink a lot of these due to my working conditions. This looks like a solid choice for anyone looking for a real vitamin bomb instead of just some concentrated sweet water in paper boxes. Thumbs up!

This honey was a little bit more expensive, but I’ve been looking for some higher quality products online which are not overpriced, and this ain’t nothing but a very tasty, naturally appealing sweet honey with beautiful aroma. Had a blackforest honey once or twice in my kitchen though, but it’s been quite some time so I’m not going to compare. A good product, perfect price anyways.
